The 2025-26 NLL season is here and Bet On Lacrosse has all the information you need to know before betting NLL championship futures, playoff odds and Week 1 game lines.
2026 NLL Championship Picks & Predictions
You can talk me into betting the Buffalo Bandits after winning their third straight NLL Championship, even at odds no longer than +500. Despite losing some key pieces from their last three titles (Chase Fraser, Chris Cloutier) in free agency, they reunited with two former Bandits, trading for Mike Triolo and signing Ryan Benesch. With the exception of Fraser and Cloutier, they also re-signed the rest of their pending free agents, most notably starting goaltender Matt Vinc, and also traded for defender Mitch de Snoo earlier this week.
As for the Saskatchewan Rush (+800 on BetMGM/Caesars) and Halifax Thunderbirds (+900 on BetMGM/Caesars), neither made significant moves this offseason (though Halifax signing Brendan Bomberry is a very underrated acquisition that should elevate an already strong offense). I think the Rush specifically will be a championship contender again, but we’re not getting the same value on their title odds like we did last year. Furthermore, these teams play each other twice before January 3, so it’s best to wait and see how each fares to start the season.
So what is my favorite bet on the board? It’s the Vancouver Warriors at +900 (DraftKings). The Warriors were two games away from advancing to the NLL Finals and had one of the biggest offseasons we’ve seen in a while…
2025-26 NLL Preseason Power Rankings
Buffalo Bandits
Vancouver Warriors
Saskatchewan Rush
Rochester Knighthawks
Oshawa FireWolves
Toronto Rock
Halifax Thunderbirds
Ottawa Black Bears
San Diego Seals
Las Vegas Desert Dogs
Colorado Mammoth
Georgia Swarm
Philadelphia Wings
Calgary Roughnecks
My top four power-rated teams are the defending champion Buffalo Bandits, Vancouver Warriors, Saskatchewan Rush and Rochester Knighthawks. I think a four-peat for Buffalo is still a high possibility. However, given their current championship odds, I already explained why I think Vancouver’s title odds at +900 (DraftKings) are the best on the board. I also think Saskatchewan and Rochester are true contenders that don’t have any glaring weaknesses and are just behind Buffalo and Vancouver in terms of most complete rosters in the NLL.
As for a bet from this group of teams, I think Vancouver’s odds to make the playoffs are still too short. My simulations had them making the playoffs in 85.57% of scenarios, which equates to -592 odds and is almost 15% higher than the 71.43% implied probability of bet365 and FanDuel’s -250 odds. Bet the Vancouver Warriors to make the playoffs at -250.
The middle of the pack in the NLL feels wide open and I’m expecting a few teams that underperformed last season to bounce back…
NLL Week 1 Best Bets
The National Lacrosse League officially returned on Friday and we started the season off strong, cashing the Oshawa FireWolves moneyline at +130. Let's take a look at what I'm betting for the three NLL Week 1 Saturday games…
