2025 NLL Championship Picks and Preseason Playoff Predictions

For the first tier of teams, we’re going to look at last year’s semifinal teams: the Albany FireWolves, Buffalo Bandits, San Diego Seals and Toronto Rock.

Once again, I’m high on this Toronto Rock team and expect them to finish with 11+ wins again. Toronto won a league-high 15 games last year on the backs of an elite Nick Rose-led defense and versatile offense. The Rock’s kryptonite in the playoffs continues to be the Buffalo Bandits, but there’s still a good chance they could avoid their arch-rivals in the playoffs and I still like Toronto’s chances to get over the hump if these teams do meet in the playoffs for the fourth straight postseason. NLL Week 1 Best Bets

The National Lacrosse League returns this weekend with a five-game slate to open the 2024-25 NLL Season. Let’s take a look at my three best bets for NLL Faceoff Weekend. While Ottawa certainly upgraded in net by trading for former Wings goaltender Zach Higgins, I’m not convinced…

Brian Andrews

I’m betting over 22.5 in the Philadelphia Wings’ season opener against the San Diego Seals. The Wings particularly struggled in transition last season and the Seals are built to attack in transition in addition to their already stacked offense. Adding Nick Damude ensures there isn’t a dropoff in goalie play after trading Zach Higgins this offseason and bringing in Anthony Joaquim and a handful of former Panther City defenders should help Philly get better on defense, but I’m not expecting a dramatic improvement in this first game…
