NLL Week 6 Power Rankings
1. Buffalo Bandits (3-0)
Power Rating: 0.3101
Current Win Total Projection: 12.6
Latest Projected Final Point Differential: +64.2
Latest Projected Finish in Standings: 1st
Last Week’s Ranking: 1st
The defending champs may not have faced the toughest of competition, but they have looked as dominant as ever in all three wins. Barring an unforeseen collapse, Buffalo will continue to be favored in every game this season and may still be playable as a rare 2.5 or 3.5-point favorite depending on the opponent. While Buffalo is still beatable, the gap between them and the next-best teams is getting wider each week.
2. Georgia Swarm (4-0)
Power Rating: 0.1421
Current Win Total Projection: 12.13
Latest Projected Final Point Differential: +29.5
Latest Projected Finish in Standings: 2nd
Last Week’s Ranking: 2nd
Georgia stays put at second overall thanks to another one-goal win. While the Swarm’s goal differential is far behind Buffalo’s, Georgia has still impressed. Three of their wins came against strong San Diego and Colorado teams and even their win over Toronto isn’t one to discredit, despite the Rock’s injuries. A major difference from last season and this year has been Georgia’s ball movement on offense. The Swarm struggled at times on offense last season, but the chemistry of the veteran-heavy unit is evident this year and they looked great against another top goaltender (Dillon Ward) last week.
NLL Week 4 Best Bets
We have a light slate in the National Lacrosse League this weekend, but U.S. bettors finally have access to player props via bet365! We had our first losing weekend in NLL Week 5, dropping our record to 13-9 for +4.425 units and an ROI of +19.43%. Let’s bounce back this week and take a look at my favorite bets for NLL Week 6!
Albany hosts the Las Vegas Desert Dogs with both seeking to snap losing streaks. The FireWolves are 2.5-point favorites at home, but I’m not ready to bet them as a big favorite even though I expect them to secure the win. Las Vegas has ran out of gas in all their games, but as actually been competitive with teams early on and could keep it close. Albany will also be without two of their top defenders, John Wagner and Jackson Nishimura. Because of that, I also lean over 21.5, but am targeting a player prop instead of betting the total…
